LEDs often have leads of dissimilar length and the shorter one is the cathode.
All manufacturers do not strictly adhere this to. Sometimes the cathode side has a flat base.
If there is doubt, the polarity of the diode should be identified.

Piezoelectric Crystal (XTAL)
It is connected at pin number 18 and 19 along with two capacitors 33 connected in parallel with the crystal, 12 MHz crystal is used. When voltage is applied the crystal; oscillates which provides pulses and microcontroller works become of it.
9th pin of micro controller is used to reset. A resistor of 8.2K ohm and capacitor of 10 micro fared is connected.

There are different types of sensors that will be employed, For example we will use Inductive type metal sensors/ LASER sensors, and other press type sensors/switches being depicted by three different blocks in the diagram. There will be a need of totally 12 sensors to put 3 on each side. The sensor status will be sent to the PC and the PC will then decide on what action needs to be taken.
